NEWRY City have completed the signings of two of their long-term targets with in the last couple of days. Roy McCreadie has tied up the signatures of Shea Campbell and Barry Curran as he continues to strengthen his squad for the forthcoming season.
Speaking from the Mediterranean, where he is currently on holiday, the City boss was delighted to have picked up the pair from under the noses of a host of other clubs.
He said: "With a player of Shea's quality, there are always going to be other clubs interested and he was perfectly entitled to speak to Glenavon, Armagh and Dungannon but in the end I'm glad he has indicated he will join us.
"It's clear that he sees what we are trying to do here with the team and Shea wants to be a big part of that." Campbell was only recently released by Linfield after he opted to join the Belfast blues in January instead of Newry, and is a player McCreadie has been after ever since he arrived at The Showgrounds.
Tricky winger Curran has arrived from Coleraine as the mass exodus from the debt-ridden club continues. Curran played a major part in the 6-1 demolition of Newry back in March at Ballycastle Road.
